How Americano padel standings work

Learn how points scored, point difference, points conceded, draws, and tied ranks work in Americano padel.

In parchepadel.com, standings reward the points each player or pair accumulates throughout the tournament. They do not simply count match wins: every point in every score contributes to the table.

What each entry accumulates

  • Matches played: matches with a saved result.
  • Points scored: the sum of the entry’s team scores.
  • Points conceded: the sum of opposing team scores.
  • Point difference: points scored minus points conceded.
  • Draws: matches in which both teams finished level.
  • Rests: rounds in which the entry did not play.

Sorting and tiebreakers

  1. More points scored.
  2. Better point difference.
  3. Fewer points conceded.

If two entries remain equal across all three values, they share the same competitive rank. Names only provide a stable display order and do not break the tie.

Fictional example

Assume 16-point matches and three players who have each completed two matches:

Example standings after two matches
PlayerScoredConcededDifferenceRank
Alex2111+101
Bailey2115+62
Casey1814+43

Alex and Bailey have the same points scored. Alex ranks higher because of the better difference. Casey conceded fewer points than Bailey, but that criterion is only considered after points scored and difference.

How one score is distributed

If Alex and Bailey beat Casey and Drew 10–6, each player on the first team receives 10 points scored and 6 conceded. Each player on the second receives 6 scored and 10 conceded. In fixed-pair play, the pair is processed as one entry and receives the result once.

A rest increases the rest count but adds no points and no match played. That is why scheduling balances participation and rests before optimizing partner or opponent variety.

Corrections and completion

Correcting a saved result recalculates the table from current scores. In Mexicano, the correction may influence a future round that has not yet been created; it does not rearrange published rounds. Before closing the tournament, review the last round’s results to avoid announcing standings based on a mistaken score.
